Starting from a love affair with Indonesian "paradise island" Bali Italian/German Giovanni Weber established PT. TARITA FURNITURE in Indonesia in 1991.
One of the very first companies to reproduce Indonesian colonial style, Tarita Furniture has very rapidly positioned itself as a market leader. Dutch and Portuguese inspired colonial pieces carved out of solid teak wood and complemented by rattan, leather and canvas upholstery started to appear in selected high end shops around the world. These models which have now become "colonial classics" are the result of the early work of Tarita Furniture's restyling to better suit the requirement and taste of our clients. |

Helped by a handful of experienced Indonesian managers and an ever increasing production base in the island of Jawa, Tarita Furniture has further expanded by finding new applications for the teak wood provided by Indonesia's plantations and by experimenting with a wide range of natural and exotic materials.

| |
Almost 14 years after the first Dutch colonial pieces were reproduced Tarita Furniture is now offering a wide range of styles such as "British and Indochine's colonial", "ethnic", "contemporary asian", and "retro" to name a few.
Although constantly increasing in volume, quality and product variety, PT. TARITA FURNITURE has chosen to keep its original role of exporter.
