WOOD
: mostly plantation teak wood and mahogany, with a recent introduction of plantation mangium provided by a selected Kalimantan plantation sponsored by the World Bank and the WWF (World Wildlife Fund). For contract projects we also occasionally use coconut wood from Sulawesi plantations. A significant share of our wooden furniture is made with reclaimed teak.
IRON : wrought iron is combined with teak wood, stones, leather and inlayed materials of many different kinds.
RATTAN : woven in a variety of patterns, rattan gives "colonial" furniture their century old character.
LEATHER : cow leather, either "in house" or factory dyed is an excellent complement to solid wood furniture as upholstery or decorative material. Fully upholstered lounges, sofas and ottomans with an "old England" look complete our range of leather furniture.
FABRIC : canvas, hand woven and recently also factory produced fabrics of a variety of patterns are applied by our talented upholsterers often using the old "spring" method.
COPPER : the combination of teak wood and copper is a recent application more and more appreciated by our clients.
NATURAL FIBERS : cultivated sea grass, water hyacinth and banana peel provide a very attractive alternative to rattan. These natural fibers are used for the production of furniture and handicraft, often in combination with teak, mahogany, wrought iron, terracotta and the coconut shell.
RESINATED FIBER GLASS: This line of furniture is now already 2 years old, allowing us to providing our trend conscious clients with a full range of models presenting a sleek, “avanguarde” look. |
